Next Gen South Hosting Charity Race Benefitting Fund at DCF

The Next Generation: Southern Delaware (Next Gen South) will host the 2023 Chase for Charity 5k on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. at Killen’s Pond State Park (5025 Killens Pond Road, Felton, DE 19943). 

The Chase for Charity is a friendly 5k run or walk. 100% of the proceeds fund Next Gen South’s grant focus: addiction treatment, family support services, and homelessness prevention. This fun community event is a great way to get outside into one of Delaware’s beautiful state parks while supporting the most vulnerable communities in Kent and Sussex Counties.

Next Gen South is a giving circle of the DCF, created and led by young professionals living and working in Kent and Sussex Counties. Since its inception, Next Gen South has awarded more than $100,000 in support of initiatives that address underlying social challenges faced by the most vulnerable Delawareans in Kent and Sussex Counties.
