Highmark Delaware and the Delaware Community Foundation Release 2024 Report for “BluePrints for the Community” Program

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware (Highmark Delaware) and the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) are proud to share the impact of the 2024 BluePrints for the Community grants, highlighted in the program’s newly released annual report. United in a shared commitment to enhancing the well-being of Delawareans, both organizations continue to invest in initiatives that strengthen communities across the state.

Since the program’s launch in 2007 through the Highmark Delaware Fund at the DCF, more than $40 million in BluePrints grants have been awarded to support projects aligned with five key priority areas:

  • Advancing access for all to quality healthcare
  • Reducing unemployment, food insecurity, and housing instability
  • Connecting people to social and community resources that promote health and well-being
  • Improving neighborhoods and environments to ensure health and safety
  • Recruiting and training healthcare professionals

In 2024, the BluePrints program awarded $1 million in grants, reinforcing Highmark Delaware’s ongoing commitment to driving meaningful, measurable change statewide.

The annual report showcases the transformative outcomes made possible by this year’s grants, reflecting a steadfast dedication to improving community health and quality of life across Delaware. Featured in the report are the impactful initiatives of Maurice Pritchett Academy/Christina School District, Special Olympics Delaware, Meet Me at the Well Foundation, and La Red Health Center. Theses organizations’ work is creating lasting, tangible improvements in the populations they serve.
