This event is a celebration of the work Fund for Women does year-round to raise and distribute funds to Delaware nonprofits that help empower women and girls in Delaware. Doors open at 5 PM and the program will be from 5:30-7:30 PM. Registration is required; register at fundforwomende.com

Debra has been a Fund for Women Founder since 2015. A native of Mount Vernon, New York, she graduated with a Master’s in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1979 and taught at the University of Maryland in the Dental Hygiene program. But eventually she traded in her hygiene license and teaching career for the creativity and love of graphic design. While learning on the job, Deb advanced through the ranks from copy editor, copywriter, designer and production manager working for well-known agencies in the Baltimore metro area to being her own boss as the owner of It’s A Snap Design in 1989. She has won numerous awards, including from the Public Relations Society of America, for her graphic design work for Maryland Public Television. Deb’s portfolio and client list ranges from small start-ups to large local and nationally known corporations.

Since moving to Delaware and joining Fund for Women with her wife, Kelly Sheridan, she has donated many hours of her talent to the Fund for Women Sussex County Development Committee and enjoys creating fun and artistic designs for our Founders. Her proudest moment was creating the design for the Fund’s 25th Anniversary year, and decorating the Ballroom at Baywoods in 2018 for the Silver Anniversary Gala. Her passion and enthusiasm for design has helped to showcase the Fund for Women to many new Founders and the greater community.
