Charles Elson, Molly Giordano and Chuck Posnecker Join Board of Directors
Pam Cornforth, Bill Dugdale, Kim Willson Leave Board
The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) welcomes Charles Elson, Molly Giordano and Chuck Posnecker to serve on its Board of Directors. Elson and Posnecker will serve on a three-year term, while Giordano will serve as the Fund for Women appointee and serve on a two-year term.
“Charles, Molly and Chuck bring a wealth of experience to the DCF Board,” said DCF President & CEO Stuart Comstock-Gay. “Each embodies the DCF’s passion for serving the community, and we look forward to their help in shaping our organization for years to come.”
Charles Elson is the retired Edgar S. Woolard, Jr. Chair in Corporate Governance and the Founding Director of the John. L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the University of Delaware. He came to Delaware after working as a professor of law at Stetson University in Florida and is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Virginia Law School.
Chuck Posnecker is a senior vice president and senior wealth advisor at Bryn Mawr Capital Management. He serves on the Local Journalism Initiative board and as a mentor to University of Delaware financial planning students and offers financial literacy presentations at local schools. Originally from Las Vegas, he is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, receiving both a BSBA in International Business and an MBA.
Molly Giordano is the executive director of the Delaware Art Museum. Giordano also serves as Vice President of the Delaware Arts Alliance and Chair of the Delaware Fund for Women. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
Leaving the DCF board are Immediate Past Chair Bill Dugdale, the Fund for Women appointee Pam Cornforth and Kim Willson.
“We thank Bill, Pam and Kim for their selfless service to DCF. We would be remiss if we did not highlight Bill’s decade of service and leadership as Chair of the Board and Pam’s leadership of the Fund for Women giving circle, as well as Kim’s three years of service. Their impact has been tremendous,” said Comstock-Gay.
