The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) welcomes Matt Popelka as marketing and communications associate.

The marketing and communications associate is a key member of the communications team and helps share stories of the impact of donors throughout the state.

Popelka, who is also a broadcaster and public address announcer for the University of Delaware athletics department, was previously the communications coordinator with the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance in Downingtown, Pa. A resident of Newark, Popelka holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree from Saint Francis University.

“The move to the DCF allows me to make an impact in my new adopted home state of Delaware,” Popelka said. “I look forward to being involved in many projects that help celebrate and inspire generosity that makes a difference.”

“The DCF is excited to bring on someone with a skillset like Matt’s. He has a lot of experience in the creative side of communications, and he will be a great asset going forward for the organization,” DCF President and CEO Stuart Comstock-Gay said.
