DCF Welcomes AJé English as Philanthropy Officer and Mari Pack as Director of Communications & Marketing
The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) has appointed AJé English as Philanthropy Officer and Mari Pack as Director of Communications & Marketing.
English joins DCF from the City of Wilmington’s Office of the Mayor, where she served as a Best Practices & Innovation Specialist under Mayor Mike Purzycki. A longtime nonprofit leader, she co-founded SpeakEnglish5 in 2012 with her mother, Jazette English. This national nonprofit empowers low-to-moderate-income communities through interactive education, direct mentorship, and community-based programming. She was named to the “40 Under 40” list by the Delaware Business Times and holds a master’s degree in public administration from Delaware State University.
In her role at DCF, English will assist fundholders with charitable planning, opening funds, and navigating the complex landscape of northern Delaware nonprofits for grantmaking.
Pack is a former tech-for-social-good communications professional and dedicated community organizer. She comes to DCF from Ash Wellness, a B2B health tech company that provides accessible healthcare through remote diagnostics. A graduate of Hunter College’s master of fine arts program in creative writing, Pack facilitates community writing workshops and hosts open mic poetry events in her adopted city of Philadelphia. She will support marketing and communications efforts at DCF and its associated organizations, particularly Healthy Communities Delaware.
“We could not be happier with English and Pack,” says Stuart Comstock-Gay, President & CEO. “Both are incredible individuals with a long history of service in their communities. Their knowledge and experience will help DCF redouble our mission to improve equity and opportunity in Delaware.”
