DCF Awards Record Amount for 2024-2025 Scholarships
$652,000 awarded to nearly 200 students to help cover costs of post-secondary education
The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) has awarded 151 scholarships to 191 students for the 2023-2024 school year. The scholarships totaled a record $652,000.
“We are grateful for the fundholders and philanthropists who recognize the importance and the impact of the pursuit of higher education by young people,” DCF President and CEO Stuart Comstock-Gay said. “Costs continue to be a burden, so these critical scholarships provide relief to hundreds of Delawarean students and their families.”
Each year, the DCF awards scholarships to students from funds established by generous people who care about education and understand that it can be costly. There is no cap on the number of scholarships or the dollar amount students may receive. Funding from many of the scholarships may be applied to the costs of textbooks and fees, in addition to tuition. Some are one-time awards, and others are renewable.
