Berberian Scholarship Now Open for 2025 Applicants
The Rambo Rozi Berberian Scholarship at the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) is now open for applications for the 2025 academic year. This scholarship, created in memory of Lewes resident Rozi Diane Berberian, provides financial support for Delaware Technical Community College students studying abroad in spring or summer 2025.
Students from Del Tech Owens Campus can apply for this opportunity through the DCF portal at delcf.org/scholarships. The application period closes on January 6, 2025, and awardees will be notified in spring 2025. This year, three scholarships of $500 each will be awarded.
“Every year, recipients of the Berberian Scholarship tell us how much it meant for them to be able to travel and study abroad,” said Kelly Sheridan, Grant & Scholarship Coordinator at the DCF. “Rozi Berberian believed strongly in the power of global education and we are proud to honor her legacy.”
Rozi Diane Berberian, affectionately known as “Rambo Rozi,” earned her nickname for her bravery and tenacity during her battle with cancer. Berberian believed that an international perspective enhances personal and professional growth, and she devoted time and resources to support study abroad programs for Delaware Tech Owens Campus students.
In her honor, the Berberian family established the Rambo Rozi Berberian Scholarship Fund at DCF, extending her legacy by helping students offset travel and tuition costs as they pursue global education.
The family also welcomes gifts to the fund at delcf.org/donations/berberian.
