Stock
Our brokerage house must receive instructions from your broker by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31. For assistance, contact Joanne McGeoch at 302.504.5224 in advance, to allow time for the DCF to coordinate with your broker.
Other Non-Cash Assets
The DCF accepts many illiquid assets as charitable gifts. The amount of time needed to accept these gifts varies. To discuss the possibilities, contact Joanne McGeoch at 302.504.5224.
About Making Grants from Your Fund at the DCF
To make a grant recommendation from your donor advised fund, go to the donor portal or contact Chris Chapdelaine, 302.504.5230.
Grants are typically processed on the first and 15th of each month. In December, checks are issued more frequently.
If a grant recommendation is submitted by Dec. 15, funds will be transferred by Dec. 31. If a grant recommendation is submitted after Dec. 15, we will do everything we can to issue funds by the end of the year.
Please remember, fundholders do not realize a tax benefit when grants are issued from existing charitable funds, so issuance after Dec. 31, 2024 will not affect 2024 taxes.
