3 DCF Scholarship Winners Who Graduated in 2025
Each year, hundreds of students receive scholarships from the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF). These scholars go on to graduate from two- and four-year colleges, graduate school, nursing school, and more in Delaware and beyond. Last year, the DCF awarded $851,500 in scholarships to 245 new and renewal students from Delaware for the 2025-2026 school year, a 30% increase in funds from 2024-2025. The increase was made possible by contributions from philanthropists and donors, such as Michael J. & Hannah George Koziski, whose new scholarship fund awarded $100,000 to 10 students.
Featured below are three of the DCF scholarship recipients who graduated in 2025.
Jahmere Hargraves is a 2025 graduate of Howard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. Since graduating in December, he has been preparing for the next phase of his academic and professional journey and will attend Columbia University this fall to pursue a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Urban Development. Jahmere was the first recipient of the Thomas and Mary Jo Russo Scholarship four years ago and is now the first graduate of the scholarship program. He shared: “I’m incredibly grateful for the support and investment from the Delaware Community Foundation, and I’m proud to represent the Russo scholarship.”

Allison Miller is a first-generation college graduate from the Class of 2025 and winner of the Kelly Family Scholarship. A graduate of Caesar Rodney High School and the University of Delaware, Allison earned her BFA in Fine Arts. During her senior year at the University of Delaware, her work was featured in two exhibitions: PHANTASMAGORIA, the 2025 Fine Art BFA capstone exhibition, and the Lynn Herrick Sharp Award Exhibition at the Delaware Contemporary, a formal showcase featuring the work of three UD fine art majors in the final stages of their degree. Throughout her time at UD, Allison made the Dean’s List six times, had her artwork published in AIGA’s LOCALLY SOURCED Issue #3 (2024), and designed the 2024 raw honey label for the UD Apiary. She is pursuing a career in illustration or graphic design, with a focus on surface pattern design, merchandise design, and visual information design.

Michael Bryant is a recent graduate of the University of Delaware. As a senior at Caesar Rodney High School, he was the recipient of the Janosik Family Scholarship, the Philip L. Bartlett Scholarship, and the John B. and Marion A. Smitheman Scholarship. At the University of Delaware, Michael continued to excel academically, earning a place on the Dean’s List again in Fall 2024. He also served as a Resident Assistant in his residence hall and worked as a University of Delaware Police Cadet, where he assisted with campus and building patrols and supported the safety and well-being of the university community. Michael began an entry-level engineering position in Texas this past June.
