Organization doubles its commitment, offering up to $5,000 per grant

The Caesar Rodney Rotary Foundation’s (CRRF) New Castle County Youth Empowerment Fund at the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) is accepting grant applications from non-profit organizations that are seeking funding for projects to benefit at-risk youth in New Castle County.

The maximum grant is $5,000, double previous years. The application deadline is August 31, 2024.

“Our club is based in Wilmington, and presenters at our meetings often speak about the challenges faced by young people in the county,” said club member Kay Keenan. “We want to help create opportunity and lasting change by supporting programs that deliver a positive impact to the lives of young people.”

Eligible nonprofit organizations will be based in New Castle County. They should serve underserved youth and young adults aged from birth through 25 years who are at risk for not having the skills and support for a self-sufficient future.

Applications can be accessed through the DCF website at delcf.org/grants/. Selections will be made by October 15, with grant winners notified within 5 business days.

The CRRF was formed in 2018 to allow the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club to accelerate its mission of educating the community and addressing the needs of youth at-risk in New Castle County. More information can be found at www.crrfoundation.org.

In 2024, the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club is celebrating 35 years of “Service before Self.” The club meets virtually on Fridays at 7:30 a.m.
