Fund for Women Names Lynn Evans 2024 Driving Force Award Recipient
The Fund for Women (FFW) at Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) is pleased to announce the selection of Lynn Evans as the recipient of the 2024 Driving Force Award. This award is presented annually to a Founder or group who has gone above and beyond in moving FFW forward to achieve their mission. Lynn will receive the award at the Grant Awards Dinner hosted on May 15th at Delaware Technical and Community College, Dover, DE. This event will include presentation of the 2024 grant awards to Delaware nonprofits that empower women and girls. Doors open at 5 PM and the program will be from 5:30-7:30 PM. Lynn Evans is the Director of the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) at the Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware (UD). Formed in 2016, WLI advances gender equity through education, research, and leadership programming offered to students, faculty, and professionals from all industries. Lynn brings over 35 years of experience to this role, working as a senior financial professional for top-tier global financial organizations.
Prior to joining UD, Lynn was Managing Director and Head of Americas Institutional and Global Liquidity Client Service for J.P. Morgan Asset Management. In this role, she led teams responsible for regulatory compliance, and risk management for institutional clients.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Lynn spent 20 years with BlackRock. She served in senior roles as Managing Director and member of BlackRock’s Global Liquidity Management Team. As Head of U.S. Sales and Product Strategy, Lynn led a consultant-based sales force and product specialist team, working with Fortune 500 clients, financial institutions, and non-profit organizations to offer investment solutions. Prior to her role in sales, she served as Chief Operating Officer for the Global Liquidity Business, building the infrastructure and teams that identified and delivered strategic initiatives, set business priorities, and oversaw global talent. Lynn also spent many years as both a portfolio manager and client strategist for BlackRock and PNC.
Lynn is a Founder of the Fund for Women, past Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, and current member of the Finance Committee. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) and Chairs DCF’s Investment Committee. Lynn enjoys giving back and is an active coach and mentor, and supporter of diversity initiatives. She served as co-chair of Wilmington 2020 Women on Boards. For many years, Lynn was a Girl Scout Leader and served for six years as President of the Unionville-Chadds Ford (PA) Education Foundation.
Lynn is a graduate of the University of Delaware. She and her husband, Joe, reside in New Castle County. They have two daughters and two granddaughters.
