Deadline for DCF Scholarship Application Extended
The deadline for Delaware students applying for scholarships available through the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) has been extended to March 29. The extension is necessary because of issues and delays with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application from the federal government.
Students can submit a scholarship application without FAFSA information included, and then subsequently share the FAFSA report to the DCF when it becomes available. Not having a FAFSA report/number will not prevent applications from being read and evaluated. This pertains to both the undergraduate and post-graduate opportunities offered at the DCF.
Once awards are made in May, if a student finds they cannot use a scholarship because their financial aid package from their college is sufficient, the DCF will adjust the awards accordingly to the next winning student.
