The Delaware Community Foundation welcomes Pete Kennedy as a new member of its Board of Directors.

A director at Cover & Rossiter and the head of the Audit practice, Kennedy has expertise in public sector and nonprofit accounting, auditing and tax issues. He has been privileged to work with many of the region’s leading nonprofit institutions.

Kennedy is a longtime member of the DCF’s Audit Committee and more recently became a member of the Compliance Committee.

Kennedy retired from the Navy Reserve after 22 years of service. He holds a degree in accounting from Clarkson University; holds active licenses in both Delaware and Pennsylvania; and is affiliated with both the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

“Pete has been a volunteer and friend to the DCF for years, and we are delighted to welcome him to our board,” DCF President & CEO Stuart Comstock-Gay said. “His incredible expertise in all areas of nonprofit accounting is sure to be tremendously valuable as we continue our mission of growing philanthropy in Delaware.”

The DCF thanks outgoing board member Claire DeMatteis for her years of service.
