Kim Willson Joins DCF Board of Directors
The Delaware Community Foundation welcomes Kim Willson as a new member of its Board of Directors.
A partner at Ruggerio Willson & Associates and an experienced government relations specialist, Willson has been interested in politics for as long as she can remember.
Willson’s first foray into local politics started in college when she began working for the Delaware Volunteer Firemen’s Association’s (DVFA) administration, a role that provided her with first-hand knowledge of how local organizations and governments work together. Willson has spent time in various roles in the political arena including state scheduler and executive assistant for US Senator Tom Carper and regional field director in Kent County for the 2008 Delaware Democratic Party. Most recently, she led government relations for Valero Energy Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, in Delaware.
Willson is very involved with local organization Gals that Give and was named one of the Delaware Business Times “40 Under 40” in 2016.
“Kim brings an incredible wealth of government relations knowledge and experience,” DCF President & CEO Stuart Comstock-Gay said. “We are fortunate to have her on the DCF board and look forward to having her help us fulfill our mission of building opportunity throughout Delaware.”
The DCF thanks outgoing board members Jim Mazarakis and Andy Staton for their many years of service.
