Hirsch Fund at the DCF Helps Those in Need
Milford families and individuals who need help to pay for prescriptions, utility bills, rent and other urgent expenses are invited to apply to the Hirsch Fund at the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) through six local organizations.
Applications are available from:

- Milford New Frontier Club
- Milford VFW
- Kent-Sussex Industries
- Milford Lions Club
- Loyal Order of Moose Milford Lodge 2316

The Daniel Hirsch Poor Fund and the Lee Hirsch Poor Fund at the DCF were established through the generosity of brothers Daniel and Lee Hirsch, Milford residents and philanthropists. Daniel Hirsch died in 1940, and Lee Hirsch died in 1954.
