Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) have announced grants of over $350,000 to 11 nonprofits in Delaware. BluePrints for the Community is a grants program of the Highmark Delaware Fund at the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF).

“These organizations provide critical programs and services that impact the daily lives of Delawareans, and we are grateful for the work they do,” said Timothy Vessel, president of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. “We look forward to seeing their missions in action and working in collaboration for a healthier Delaware.”

Funded programs and projects focus on healthcare access, economic stability for families and individuals, social and community context, neighborhood and the built environment, and developing the healthcare workforce.

There are two BluePrints for the Community grant cycles each year. The BluePrints Small grant cycle offers investments up to $50,000. The BluePrints Large grant cycle, open now, accepts applications seeking up to $200,000 each.

“For nearly two decades, BluePrints for the Community has made major inroads by increasing access to care and reducing health disparities throughout the state, investing more than $40 million in initiatives to improve health outcomes,” said Stuart Comstock-Gay, CEO and president of the DCF.
