SoDel Concepts Expands Charitable Giving in Partnership with the DCF
SoDel Concepts has powered up its charitable giving by creating a new donor advised fund, the SoDel Fund, and a scholarship fund, the Scott Kammerer Scholarship fund, at the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF).
“The DCF walked us through the process of adding the new fund and scholarship. They were great about providing us with real flexibility in our giving opportunities,” SoDel Vice President Nelia Dolan said. “With the SoDel Fund, we can expand our horizon when it comes to supporting other organizations in our area.”
The new SoDel Fund allows the Southern Delaware restaurant group to make powerful grants to charitable organizations that benefit the region. The new Scott Kammerer Scholarship Fund, named after the CEO of SoDel Concepts, will provide educational support to current and former employees. Starting in the 2023-2024 school year, current and former employees of SoDel are eligible to apply for a one-time, $2,000 scholarship to help with the cost of post-secondary education.
SoDel Concepts is one of many businesses partnering with the DCF to maximize the impact of their charitable giving. Other current business partners include Highmark, Barclays and Discover.
“SoDel has been a longtime partner of the DCF,” said Mike DiPaolo, DCF vice president for Southern Delaware. “The addition of the donor advised fund and scholarship allows SoDel to expand its charitable impact and build opportunities in Southern Delaware.”
